Prof. Dr. Fahri Erdogan

He started his career at Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 1978 and continued his career as an Orthopedics and Traumatology specialist in 1991 after receiving specialist training at the same university.

During the assistantship period; He increased his knowledge and experience by receiving training in the field of orthopedics and traumatology at Bradford Royal Infirmary in England and Tokyo Nihon University in Japan. He currently works in the Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology at Cerrahpaşa Medical Faculty. He has been particularly interested in knee and hip surgery since 1991, when he became a specialist. He worked on this subject with leading names in knee and hip prosthesis surgery at the Hannover Medical Faculty in Germany and New York Cornell University (Hospital for Special Surgery-HSS) in the United States. In 1998, he received the title of Associate Professor and started to work as a faculty member at the same university in 2006. He was entitled to receive the title of professor.

He has especially focused on knee and hip prosthesis surgery, and has gained advanced experience in prosthetic surgery on disabilities due to congenital hip dislocation, which are very common in our country, avascular necrosis of the femoral head, knee and hip calcifications and rheumatic diseases. He currently continues his education and work at home and abroad as an instructor and consultant surgeon in the field of hip and knee prosthesis for American prosthesis manufacturers such as Zimmer Biomed and Smith and Nephew.
